Mai Kreationz is the creative vision of Toya Maikuku, a proud Māori wahine of Waikato/Tainui descent who now lives in Motueka. What began as a personal journey making gifts for whānau has evolved into a flourishing business that celebrates Māori identity and creativity.
Toya designs and handcrafts contemporary Māori adornments and taonga, including heru (carved combs), kākahu (clothing), and a wide range of Māori arts and crafts. Every piece reflects her commitment to using traditional materials, authentic practices, and meaningful symbolism. Her kaupapa is guided by her core values: mana motuhake, aro ki te hā, and iho pūmanawa.
With a deep sense of responsibility to her customers, Toya strives to make her creations affordable without compromising quality. Her greatest joy is seeing people feel proud, empowered, and beautiful in the taonga she creates.
